About Conor

Hello there! I'm Conor, a seasoned business leader and marketer with a penchant for melding data-driven insights with authentic narratives to build transformative go-to-market campaigns and products.

Currently, I helm Corporate and Demand Marketing at B2B SaaS startup LinearB, the leader in software delivery analytics, where I guide a passionate team and co-host the popular Dev Interrupted Podcast for engineering executives. Our candid discussions revolve around fortifying dev teams, crafting phenomenal products, and leveraging engineering metrics to bolster teams without tipping into micromanagement.

Before joining LinearB at the Series A, I carved my niche at Microsoft, built the content marketing practice at boutique consulting firm Olive & Goose, and embarked on an entrepreneurial journey by founding my own company. Though my own experience as a founder had its share of challenges, it taught me invaluable lessons that continue to inform my decisions today as I develop and guide teams of up to 30.

I took a non-traditional path into tech. As a teen, I dabbled in web development while running large-scale online gaming clans prior to kicking off my career in the electrifying world of political organizing, laying the foundation for my work in startups. These years instilled in me an appreciation for battle-tested technology, clear communication, the hard work of sales, and the profound impact of empowered, high-performing teams. Throughout the years, I've extended my expertise to a slew of startups, including notable names like Ridwell and Dragonchain.

My writing and storytelling have appeared on numerous platforms, with features in The New York Times, ABC News, Vox, and the Seattle Times, to name a few. A proud alumnus of the University of Washington, I now call Olympia, WA, home, where I spend quality time with my wife Katherine and our cats, Sophie, Penelope, and Cleo.

When I'm not steering business strategy or diving into podcast discussions, you can find me immersed in the expansive universes of Twilight Imperium and Stellaris, writing about technology and business nuances, or grooving to the rhythmic beats of drum and bass.

👈 You can connect with me on LinkedIn if you want to learn more.
